Report assurance for global consumer products giant
Kimberly-Clark, a world-leading consumer products company with 56,000 employees and operations in 35 countries, asked Two Tomorrows (North America) to conduct independent assurance of its 2009 and 2010 sustainability reports.
For both reports, we conducted a comprehensive assurance process using AA1000AS (2008) to evaluate the materiality, completeness and responsiveness of Kimberly-Clark’s reporting.
Our work involved interviewing a range of senior managers as well as staff responsible for collecting performance data. Informational key claims, with the exception of financial information related to Kimberly-Clark’s annual report, were included in the scope of our assurance. We used the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Quality of Information Principles as criteria for evaluating performance information.
