Report for UNEP on business case for green economy

Two Tomorrows’ Dave Knight led the drafting of a business-focused summary report for The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). Entitled The Business Case for the Green Economy: Sustainable Return on Investment, the report was launched at Rio + 20 in June 2012 and puts forward the business case for a transition to a green economy.

The report encourages business to step up and demonstrate the leading role it can play in a resource-efficient society and argues that there is a strong business case for doing so. Drawing on a body of research collated by the UNEP team, it includes insight into the benefits business can achieve through transitioning to a green economy and lays out a pathway for business to follow in order to make the most of the opportunities available.

Case studies demonstrating companies’ leading practice are highlighted throughout.
