Todd Cort first sustainability professional in US to achieve Lead Certified Sustainability Assurance Practitioner status
Todd Cort, president of the North American operation of Two Tomorrows, has become the first sustainability professional in the United States to achieve Lead Certified Sustainability Assurance Practitioner (Lead CSAP) status.
He joins an elite group of professionals worldwide – including Two Tomorrows sustainability services director Dave Knight – in gaining this sought-after qualification.
CSAP is the internationally recognised professional qualification in the field of sustainability report assurance, developed jointly by AccountAbility and the International Register of Certificated Auditors. It is the only certification for the AA1000 Assurance Standard, and therefore gives the utmost confidence to those companies seeking report assurance.
With the award of Lead CSAP status, Todd has reached the highest grade available for those working in the field of sustainability report assurance. He has over 15 years’ experience of the assurance and audit process, leading on over 20 assurance assignments for companies including Kimberly-Clark, Scottish Power (now Iberdrola), First Group and ProLogis.
Over this time, he has become a recognised expert in the specialist areas of corporate strategy, responsible supply chains, benchmarking, reporting, assurance, stakeholder engagement and regulatory compliance.
Mark Line, executive chairman of Two Tomorrows, says: “To have been recognised with this highest status, Todd has had to demonstrate his in-depth experience and knowledge of sustainability assurance using the AA1000 Assurance Standard over a number of years.
“We are extremely proud that Todd has qualified to this level. The unique stakeholder focus that Two Tomorrows is able to bring firmly puts us in the world’s top tier of assurers.”
